Why do I need an inspection before purchasing a home?
A home inspection helps you determine how your new investment will stand in the future. Most importantly, it allows for greater confidence that there are no issues with home integrity or health concerns as well.
How long will the inspection take?
A typical inspection will take 2-4 hours. This time frame is variable though, depending on the home size, condition, and accessibility of home systems.
Do I need to be present for the inspection?
While you are welcome to attend, you don't need to be present during the inspection as everything will be thoroughly documented in the inspection report. We recommend you do not bring your family and friends so you may focus on your interactions with the inspector.
How will I receive my report?
We use a Spectora to generate our reports, a digital software designed specifically for home inspections of all complexities. You will receive a link to your email within 24 hours of the completed inspection. The link will connect you to an interactive page where you can easily browse each section of the well organized report. You may view videos taken durning the inspection, and you may download a PDF version as well.
How do I pay for the inspection?
Upon booking your inspection, you will receive an electronic contract for our services. Included in the contract will be a link to pay online with credit card. You may pay online anytime prior to the appointment or you may pay in person at the time of services with cash or check. We prefer to receive payment before the inspection is completed. However, the finalized report will be locked until payment is received.
